12 months Prerequisite: WAL for Change Leaders Programme

During this 12-month programme, participants build on their practitioner research capability by developing a Research Proposal, conducting a sustained work-based investigation, and producing a substantial Research Report that documents original, evidence-based knowledge from within their own organisation.

CEOs and Divisional Directors who have completed the WAL for Change Leaders programme and want to formalise their Action Research practice at postgraduate level

Leaders seeking to generate original, academically credible research from within their own organisation — and contribute new knowledge to their field

Certification Earned

CWAL-CA — Certified Work-Applied Learning Change Advisor Awarded on completion of the Practitioner Research Proposal and Practitioner Research Project modules.

What the Programme Involves

Under the guidance of GCWAL Programme Advisors, participants will:

Develop practitioner research skills — exploring qualitative and quantitative enquiry approaches, data collection techniques, and the ethics of researching from inside your own organisation

Build a Research Proposal that connects the organisational problem, chosen research approach, and work context into a coherent plan of inquiry

03

Conduct Action Research cycles — gathering evidence, analysing findings, and integrating relevant knowledge from your field of practice, and

04

Complete a Research Report documenting the full investigation — what was done, what was found, and what it means for the organisation

What Participants Complete

A Research Proposal connecting the organisational problem, research approach, and work context into a structured plan of inquiry, and

A Research Report documenting the full practitioner investigation — findings, outcomes, and lessons from the Action Research project.
